What is Clinical Supervision?

Clinical supervision is a confidential and supportive meeting that occurs regularly, usually monthly, to discuss professional issues and concerns.

It is not a therapeutic relationship, but it offers psychological and career benefits for supervisees.

The focus is on developing professional competency, linking practice to relevant social and psychological theory and practice knowledge, and supporting ethical practice standards.

Clinical supervision provides education, support, and accountability, and it aims to promote growth, encouragement, and self-care.
